The Inaugural Investor Pitch Sessions at Distributed: Health present a platform for developing companies to showcase their value proposition and healthcare use-cases to a curated panel of judges made up of investors, seasoned business leaders, and healthcare executives.

Taking place each afternoon of the main conference, 8 startups will compete by presenting their quick pitch for 10 minutes, and answering judge and audience questions for the last 5 minutes. The winning team will be awarded coveted stage time just before closing keynotes in the Main Ballroom, and featured in a conference recap to be published by Distributed.

She is a Gates Fellow who spent a decade helping build the 1st US Health & Life Sciences software/services Industry Business Unit to a $2.5B practice. She is the Founding President of Women in Technology of TN and the past President of Women in Technology International.

Jumpstart has a portfolio of over 45 companies including Reemo, Life Detection Technologies and Sightbox (recently sold to Johnson and Johnson).

Co-Founder & CTO at Stella Technologies

Lin Wan is Co-Founder and CTO at Stella Technology. An expert on healthcare interoperability with 20 years of experience in healthcare infrastructure and solutions development, Dr. Wan and her team at Axolotl (acquired by Optum) pioneered the health information exchange (HIE) space. She has been a key contributor to federal and state interoperability standards initiatives, and helped architect the NY Statewide Health Information Network (known as the SHIN-NY, the largest health IT connectivity project). Dr. Wan has co-authored several papers on healthcare technologies, and has been working on using blockchain as a foundational technology for healthcare infrastructures of the future.

Chamblin

Partner at Enable Health

During his career, Bill has built businesses in highly technical areas. During 20 years in telecommunications industry, he was a co-founder/president of a fully integrated, regional mobile network operator (MNO) covering a large, multi-county area in central PA. In addition, he developed a business which provided comprehensive communication services to commercial building developers and their tenants across the Philadelphia area. Bill also led Life Mist Technologies in its primary mission to commercialize an acoustic atomization technology in several key markets. One initiative involved providing safety/fire suppression systems to the aerospace industry. More recently, the company focused on using its technology for healthcare broad-area decontamination involving the eradication of pathogens in hospitals that cause Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI’s). In addition to his EnableHealth responsibilities, Bill is currently the CEO of Excetra, a company focused on the commercialization of Penn Medicine IP involving orthopaedic arthroscopic surgical instruments for procedures on the knee. He works closely with the Penn Center for Innovation Ventures group on this initiative. Bill also serves in a mentorship role for Canadian Technology Accelerator to support young Canadian health IT companies with product commercialization in the US.
